Hey there!
Any chocolate lovers out there? So I love chocolate. Always have, always will. There’s times I eat one bar of chocolate a day and there’s times I’ll only have a square or even a cacao bean a day, however, I won’t go a day without chocolate, I just can’t .
I love chocolate.
I am definitely a dark chocolate kind of girl. I actually never liked milk chocolate and I always hated the white stuff. Yuck. Sorry not trying to offen anybody, but when it comes to chocolate my motto is: the darker, the tastier. One of my favourite bars of chocolate is actually Lindt’s 99% dark chocolate, IT IS SO GOOD!
A delicious winter smoothie.
Anyways, enough about that, let’s get to today’s recipe, a winter smoothie with chestnuts and well, chocolate, of course. This smoothie tastes literally like dessert for breakfast. The chestnuts make it super creamy and filling which makes this the perfect start to the day. I also added dates for sweetness and a sprinkle of vanilla and cinnamon for some extra depth of flavour.
- 150g cooked chestnuts
- 2 tbs cacao powder
- 2 medjool dates, pitted
- 300ml almond milk
- 1 dash vanilla
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp maca
- Optional Toppings:
- Cacao nibs, hemp seed and pomegranate seed
- Add all of the ingredients for the smoothie into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into two jars and top with your prefered choice of toppings. Enjoy!
Bisous,
