Hey there!
This is another quick Christmas DIY, which is perfect for those people with a sweet tooth. This recipe is super simple yet the end result is delicious and will most definitely impress who ever will receive this delight for Christmas this year. The amazing gift I am talking about is a vegan homemade Nutella, which is actually also rather healthy. Besides being not too unhealthy and completely vegan this delightfulness also only consist of three ingredients and is incredibly easy to make. Unlike ordinary Nutella there are no nasty ingredients added, this Nutella version only consists of natural ingredients, which are hazelnuts, cocoa powder as well as some agave syrup. That’s it now you only need a really good food processor and you’re certainly going to end up with a spread with a rather high resemblance to this scrumptious hazel nutty and chocolaty morning treat we all know and love.
There is really not much else to say about this recipe, it tastes divine, well that says everything, I guess you need to prepare this for at least one of your loved ones. Oh and if you’ve already got all your Christmas presents well just make it for yourself. Who says you can’t treat yourself on Christmas or really at any time of the year.
So there you go the incredibly simple recipe.
- 250g hazelnuts
- 50g agave syrup
- 50g cocoa powder
- Preheat your oven to 150°C
- Put your hazelnuts onto a lined baking sheet and bake in your preheated oven for 15 minutes. Make sure to stir them around every five minutes, so they can brown evenly
- After roasting your hazelnuts transfer them onto a tea towel right after removing your baking sheet from the oven. Wrap your hit hazelnuts into the tea towel and give them a massage so the skin comes of. When you unwrap your hazelnuts they should be pretty much skinless
- When you have roasted and skinned your hazelnuts add them together with your agave syrup and your cocoa powder in to a food processor, I used my Kenwood kitchen machine, now you’ve got to be patient, just let your food processor go on high for a few minutes until you reach a smooth nutella-like texture (you might need to scrape down the sides of your food processor once in a while), then poor your homemade Nutella into a jar
Voila, finished is this true delightfulness everyone would enjoy on his or her toast in the early morning hours. Wasn’t this easy? A perfect Christmas present or well for any other occasion too.
I wish you all a very merry Christmas with lovely food and lots of love
