Carob tahini crunch granola – the granola making continues

Hey there!

Who doesn’t like cereal, they’re crunchy, sweet and just super yumm. Yet most store bought versions are usually loaded with sugar and other nasty stuff, which I personally don’t like all that much. Plus I like to know what exactly I’m eating and I like to decide which ingredients go into my food. I’m not going to show you how to make choco krispies or honey puffs, I mean let’s be real, if you really want to eat that sort of stuff then just go for it, yet if you are looking for a delicious and probably also healthier alternative go for that homemade granola. I have made many different granolas and I published quite a few on here and I’ve just made another one that’s definitely worth a blogpost I decided to share it. Today’s creation is a carob tahini crunch granola that tastes absolutely amazing! I love having this with frozen berries and almond or oat milk, quite basic, but so super delicious! Though I also like adding it on top of smoothie bowls or plain soy yogurt, whatever really. You can even just snack on a handful of it if you fancy a sweet sanck through out your afternoon. Ingredients
  • 1 cup oats
  • ¼ cup quinoa
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seed
  • ½ cup pecans
  • 3tsp carob powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 2tbs tahini
  • 2tbs agave
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 145°C.
  2. Roughly chop up the pecans.
  3. Add the oats, quinoa, pumpkin seed and chopped pecans into a mixing bowl.
  4. Pour in the tahini and the agave. Also add the cinnamon and the carob, I always make sure to sift my carob as it’s always really clumpy.
  5. Mix the ingredients with a spatula until all the dry ingredients are covered in the wet ingredients and it sticks together.
  6. Spread your mixture on to a lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. When your granola has finished baking remove it from the oven and let it cool completely. Then break it up and store it in an air-tight jar.
